The authorities of Kushtia Islamic University has banned all sorts of political activities in its campus until further notice on Monday.
Following an order of the university’s Vice Chancellor, its Registrar SM Abdul Latif issued the notice on Monday, said Prof Dr Mahbubur Rahman, proctor of the university.
There had been unrest between two groups of teachers in the campus over the last several days due to political reasons.
The two groups of teachers of Banghabandu Parishad also arranged separate programmes on Monday morning.
The university authorities took the decision to keep the situation normal, said the notice.
